I was put up to (1859) as a chapel of a Russian consulate for Ansei six years and it was the whole country (1872) and became a temple of Confucius of the first Russian Orthodox Church in 1872. A tourist attraction of Hakodate. The big weathercock which appeared on a hexagon roof is a church of a solemn atmosphere of a mark. It was founded to (1876) in 1876, but is destroyed by fire by a fire twice. Ogane tower of 33m high was enlarged in 1924. A luxurious altar given from the 15th Pope Benedict as a visit of a fire is famous. | |
